Smeg pays particular attention to good causes. At the core of Smeg’s philosophy there is the notion that a company has the moral obligation to help improve the communities which it services. As such Smeg USA has, for some time, supported the Breast Cancer Fight, an immensely worthwhile cause. The Smeg FAB28U retro style fridge in pink is agreed to be the perfect fit for supporting the Breast Cancer Fight!
In January 2013 Smeg USA donated a pink FAB28U fridge for a fundraising lottery organized by "Appliance World of Huntington" for the Huntington Breast Cancer ACTION Coalition. The HBCAC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the ultimate eradication of breast cancer through education and awareness.
The picture above shows the Smeg and the Appliance World teams, representatives from HBCAC and the winner of the lottery, Annie. The Smeg fridge is already brightening her kitchen and the Huntington Breast Cancer Action Coalition now has funds to plead for its cause!
In 2010 Smeg partnered with The American-Italian Cancer Foundation (AICF) by donating a Pink fridge for an auction in honor of the 30th anniversary of the foundation. Moreover Smeg had continued to support cancer research by donating $100 for each Pink FAB fridge sold from October 1st to December 31st of the same year.
